WHO IS PHIL CARTER?

I've been making films for 10+ years and weddings have been the heart of it the whole time. I'm based in Detroit, I travel a lot, and I've shot everything from courthouse ceremonies to full weekend affairs. I've been doing this long enough to know that the moments people rewatch are almost never the ones they paid for. It's the aside, the laugh that cracks, the thing that goes slightly wrong. So that's what I shoot for. Everything else gets covered too, but that's the part I actually care about.

A little bit more about me!

Some things I love include (but are not limited to): Fall Weather, Dancing around with my wife, son, and Bernese Mountain Dogs, Filming your wedding on a mountain side in Colorado, the smell of fresh cut grass and the volcano candle from anthropology.

MY Phil-osophy

Each film is extremely unique to me. I believe that each couple has their own authentic and important story to be told and it’s my job to capture it which is so cool!

My goal is to document in a way that helps you dive right back into the moment again - to create a work of art that helps you feel and relive those intimate moments for years and years to come.
